Can?t wait to hear DWR deer count

I've been helping a buddy on a LE late bull tag and we have put on the miles. In all the ground and glassing we have done, there is literally no deer, on 7 days of this we seen 20 deer. But I'm sure when DWR does there count there will be deer everywhere.

These post are really dumb. If there's no deer, then why keep it a secret? Worry someone may call BS and actually have seen plenty of deer in that unit?

If You PM Him like I did He'll probably chat with you!

HINT: He's Talking about a Unit I've waited to Hunt for many years and it still hasn't happened!

But I'm not so sure now!

I'll never Hunt the Unit for Deer but that's what He's Talking about!

I've already PISSED a bunch of people off with known Facts/Truth about the Book Cliffs!

I'll let others tell us about what they know about other Units rather it be Good or Bad!

San Juan Elkridge, and San Juan Abajo unit, both are hurting, but from what northerners say when they come down and actually see a couple deer they think it's awesome, but to me that means the rest of the state must really suck for deer numbers.

7 years ago I rifle hunted the Monticello part of the Abajo unit, it WAS crawling with deer.
Sad sad sad.

Never been. So no frame of reference there. But been seeing low deer numbers on my unit for a few years..... this year however, tons of deer. My dad even said it reminded him of before the winter of 84 there were so many deer.

Elk Ridge is lousy with predators but has very few deer compared to what it is capable of having and it keeps getting worse every year. There are just a FEW really nice bucks there that are easy to find from the road, which gets some people excited. There are a lot of deer in the Monticello area, but they almost exclusively hang out on private property during the rifle season.

I went with some friends on the late season manti elk hunt on Friday and Saturday, everywhere I glassed there were deer. Out of all the deer I only saw 3-4 bucks which is pathetic. I don't doubt other unit are struggling with numbers though

I saw a mega **** wad of deer down there while hunting bears in may. cant imagine they all just vanished in the last 6 months
