WHITETAIL RECORD???

Poorly written story. Doesn't look like a non-typical any weapon national record to me. Not even close.

I don't think there is any category for mule deer or white-tailed deer for maximum scoreable points, but I might be wrong. I have seen a video of a monster whitetail buck that had a rack that looked like a bramble bush, and I was guessing he was on a farm somewhere that feeds the deer to genetically alter testosterone levels to increase antler growth. But my curiousity is now aroused. Anyone know any mule deer buck or white-tailed buck like or close to this "51 pointer"? One of my favorite big muleys I have archived in my photos was a massive- looking buck that was harvested in the 1890's- he was way more impressive than this white-tailed buck.:)

Another website said record for most points. The current record is 47 points. I agree article is written horrible

First paragraph of the article in the link:

JOHNSTON CITY, Illinois ? "Keith Szablewski is relatively new to deer hunting, but the 51-point buck he shot during this year?s shotgun season may end up breaking the national record for most countable points."

What about the barnacle buck. Anywhere from low 60's on points to high 120's dependent on who scored him. He was found dead though, not a hunter kill.

Points? Score? Pshaw! Whitetail or Muley (I'm not knocking them) BUT for a deer(family at least),they pale compared to this: ;-)

Awesome deer looks to me like an eastern Colorado hybrid

That thing looks like a cross between a moose, a caribou, a elk, a whitetail, and a muley.
