Another year down

Hard to believe the 2018 season is over thought I would post how my year went. Started off like usual Blacktails in my home state of California and was able to fill both my tags the first hour of opening day.

Now that I was tagged out here made for a long rest of season, I drew my first Nevada deer tag but having a bunch of points and not being able to scout it due to wildfires I elected to turn tag back. Hopefully I am afforded another tag there soon. I elected to go hunt Idaho OTC since October was wide open for me and even though it was very tough we ground it out and went 4 for 4 on 4 point bucks

Had one last tag left to fill in South Dakota having never hunted there I had high expectations. I learned a lot on this hunt and saw a lot of bucks but found out that like most places big ones were hard to come by, none the less was able to connect on a decent buck bringing my season to an end.

Freezer is full again, cant wait to see what 2019 brings hope everyone else had an enjoyable year and good luck in the draws next year!

Congrats on a great year. Being a californian, The most impressive to me is your blacktails. Good job! Love the double!

Filled 8 of 11 tags this year, and have one of them that's still open. I'm just not that mad at them anymore, now that all the family is fed for winter!
