Hi, new here. I'm from South Carolina. I've hunted deer, hogs, alligator and small game here in my home state all my life. Me and my wife were trying to plan a trip out west to hunt. We've never done this before and we are not quite sure where to start. We were wanting to do an antelope gun hunt. I was hoping some of you could help get me in the right direction. Any recommendations of places and outfitters to look in to etc would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to put this.

I would start with Wyoming. Go to Wyoming Game and fish website and click on Hunt Planner. This will get you pointed in the right direction.

Also since you ask about Outiftters, go to Wyoming Outfitter and Guide Association website to find a complete list. Almost all will have websites.

Regardless of where you go or how you hunt, I hope you and your wife have a good hunt.

Shoot me a PM or an email. I have a line on a very affordable guided antelope hunt with the tag included for 70-76 inch bucks in Montana.

Being from the east you may not be familiar with the points and drawing process in most western states. if you get serious about western hunting a service like Hunt'in fool or Epic Outdoors would be well worth it to get you up to speed. unfortunately they can't bring your points up to speed. you'll be limited on the quality of tags you can draw for years.

MT and WY would be your best bets for goats I agree. if you want to come out west Pronghorn are a good place to start, they're easy to hunt in every aspect. but it's safe to say you're going to want to come back and hunt elk once you hunt in the west so my advice is start building points and that starts in January in WY.
