My 15 year old daughter will be hunting on the mentor program next year for moose (also elk). My wife has 19 points and I am trying to do some research into some possible areas.

I am used to hunting hard and steep, but need to keep in mind that this has to be fun and I will be taking my wife along as well as her grandfather... so any heavy hiking would be out of the question. That does not mean just driving roads, but need them to get into the areas and to have some access.

So I thought I would ask some of you out here for your thoughts. Since this is a once in a lifetime hunt for her, I figured there might be some people that would pass it on.

Looking for a place with some ATV/RZR access, looking for a good bull of course.

Feel free to PM me and we can talk. Be up to helping where I can of course.

Many Thanks in advance!

Yeah I am not sure it is possible, but I will start trying...she only has 3 years or so under the program.

I hunted East Canyon this year and was pleasantly surprised at the number and quality of bulls in the area. While very close to the city I was also pleased with how I was able to get away from people with relatively short hikes. I would be happy to do some scouting and/or hunting with you if she draws that tag.

I got a very nice bull and saw one that was bigger and heard of another that was also bigger although I didn't get to see it personally.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-17-16 AT 03:15PM (MST)[p]Look at the units with lots of tags and hope to get lucky in the regular draw. My brother drew with 0 points and a buddy drew with 12 so there is always a chance! Good luck!
