Yes, quite young but with great Canadian genetics!


Some scientific studies have proven that fast growing youngsters seem to die younger so "old age" is relative to the gene pool.

I'd shoot it! A 40" ram is tough to find in about any population of bighorn (or any NA sheep species, for that matter).

Huge Utah Ram. Cool to see that come out of our State. I read through a few comments on this thread and I couldn't quite interpret the insider conversation. to me it looks like a Utah County Ram with genetics from the Karl Malone transplant. Not the oldest ram, but then again, a lot of those huge MT rams aren't very old either. Congrats to the hunter. Would be cool to know more of the story.

Mr. Ekkers ram was officially scored today at 194 3/8 making it the Number 2 all time Utah Rocky Mt Bighorn ram.

Not bad indeed. Very nice ram!
