LAST EDITED ON Jan-31-17 AT 02:23PM (MST)[p]Success was hard to come by on this hunt. 18 days of hard hunting including building a bridge over a 8 foot washed out gap in the road to get the Ranger into the area where the herd liked to hangout. we ran out of time to prop the bull up and take as many photos as I wanted to but here are a few shots. I also need to recommend a new bullet, Hammer bullets, solid copper machined on a CNC lathe, I used my 257 Weatherby shooting a 103 grain bullet at 3725 F.P.S. I shot the bull while it was taking a nap, one shot right behind the ear and the head simply relaxed and it was done. I would love some feedback on how it sizes up. Thanks

The video is a little sketchy my son was doing the videoing, keep your eye just above the snow line at the first buffalo lying down

Sounds like all your hard work paid off! Congrats! I bet it was special having family there.

I picked up my mount from the taxidermist tonight and I need a bigger room!If anybody draws this hunt and would like some help, message me and I will gladly help.

Just reviewing your hunt for a bison. Great job! Looks like you spent a lot of time hunting. FYI I found out that I drew a bison tag for the Wild Horse Bench/Nine Mile unit hunters choice. Is this the same unit you had? Can you share any info to help me in my quest to get a bison?
Thanks
