Congrats NVBighorn

Thanks guys. But all I did was come up with the idea of a local sheep week and then pick up the plaque. The real credit goes to the dozens of tireless volunteers and professionals who have made the sheep program in Nevada what it is. Lots of better men than me. Beyond recognizing those people my main goal is to also recognize the importance of hunting, hunters and public lands in Nevada.

Not sure if you can read it but here is the plaque.

I think if any others are deeply involved in some similar this type of proclamation is a good way to get elected officials to recognize hunting and wildlife. We should never be apologists for what we do.

I share the sentiment of the other poster!
Well done, well done indeed!

The more positive publicity we can generate for the animals we love (wild sheep), the higher their value in everyone's eyes. That is especially important when law makers, and politicians are drafting policies that can positively or negatively effect them.

So Kudos to the modest Carl who has only been involved with Nevada Bighorns Unlimited for a mere 31 years. :)

Keep up the great work my friend.
(I really want to hunt sheep over there before I die)

Well done!

I don't think there is any other quality
so essential to success of any kind as the
quality of perseverance. It overcomes
almost everything, even nature.
