Anyone apply this year? How many points? Thinking about dumping my 12 in it next year cuz I wanna start applying for bison. Would 12 be enough?

You should have went in it this year. All depends on how many tags they give out in a given year. It fluctuates because they trap goats off the mountain to transplant elsewhere. Sometimes its almost nothing for tags others years its good. If they only give out one or two tags next year 12 won't cut it. A few guys put in w/ 12-15 pts in 2017.

As 30Hart mentioned, tag numbers seem to fluctuate a bit. 12 wasn?t enough for my Dad(resident) last year for that hunt. Good luck

Did he apply for the same hunt this year?

A friend of mine drew the tag this year.
It is amazing how this unit has gone down hill the last few years and keeps getting worse.
I know there were environmental complaints about putting goats on
Ben Lomond years ago.
And I get it there was a concern their were to many goats for the capacity so that's why they were giving a staggering amount of tags for years.
But with the captures, transplants and increased tags they have went way to far.
I used to be able to see 20-40 anytime you walked out the back Door if you looked around a few minutes and many more if you went for a drive.
But now you really have to go look hard to find a few.
Either they got to much pressure to almost eliminate the herds or they really
Made terrible mistakes in there counts.
Sad
