My daughter is going to try for a moose this coming year on the mentor program and wanted to see what options are out there. My wife will have 21 points going into next year...anybody have suggestions or can point me in a direction--currently looking at a couple CWMUs so she can draw next year.

Thanks for those that spend the time to reply or Pm me.

With 21 going off last year and the same people putting in the same units Durst Mountain you would have 33% chance to draw the bonus permit. Two bear 50%. Weber Florence, Jacobs Creek you would draw if no one jumps ship. Give the operators a call and explain to them your points situation and what you want from a hunt.

What would you know about moose hunting! Have you ever seen a dead moose?? Sheesh...

Lundellhunting---funny you mention Weber and Jacob's creek as I already have calls into them as well as two bear. Trying to get better odds than Durst just because she is not able to hunt after next year on the mentor program. Thanks and if anyone has input on either of those three CWMUs I would love to hear.

Thanks again.

My comment wasn?t directed at you in anyway... it was directed and mr lundell. Who I personally know, who has a Utah moose tag last year and killed a moose. Apparently you need a lesson in sarcasm. Not everything you read on the internet is serious business

Hey no worries deerkiller I did not take it as such and thought you were giving one of us crap--just not sure which one! No hard feelings and sorry.

Oh he11 lets be nice Deerkiller ha ha! Post up your bull! BearCat Just make sure with the operators that you know the exact number of people that can come help (get it in writing). That was the only hiccup on my hunt on a CWMU I got to bring 2 then they had agreed to let others that were down waiting on the road to come pack then after I killed they were not going to let them come help pack even though I had talked to him about it 10 times before the hunt. Luckily my dad knew some guys the operator knew and they talked for a min then let them come up. I didn't want the whole hunt experience like the paying clients wanted. I said show me where some decent bulls are and I will kill the first one I see. We were walking up on him at 9am and had him back to the trucks by 2pm.

Thanks and I drafted questions for them and that was one of them, as it gets a bit ugly too as it will be a mentor hunter so there has to be at least 2 guest (me and my wife) and as you mentioned someone to pack. Sent you a PM

Deerkiller,

Whitetail deer screw the moose. LOL JP but it's crazy how back east you can buy a grip of tags.
