Hi Guys, I am a 65 year old NR who is asking for info about moose units #5,20,and 35. I might have enough points to draw. I knoe these are not top tier units but want to kill a moose while still able. Are they worth a try? Would like one over 30" is possible. Please PM me if anyone is willing to share any info. LAST EDITED ON Feb-13-19 AT 02:21PM (MST)[p]Yes, 20 is a huge area with some great moose country but hard to access well. The North Fork/South Fork Indian Creek trail is only motorized access. The rest is well traveled, good trails, but long hikes. Logistics of getting a big moose out without spoiling could be daunting. Lake Basin is one good spot, but it is 8 miles back!
Should add that (I believe) Bob Barlow still guides in that area. Kills good bulls and is usually 100% success. Charges around $7000 for week long hunt.
