Black Bear Pics

This guy showed up on the trail camera this September one minute behind a doe. I don't know much about bears but it looks like a big one to me. What would you say the size, age, gender is? Seems pretty shaggy to me too. Is that normal? Does that have anything to do with age or is it just the winter coat?

Actually the first week we put up the camera it got beat up by a bear in the middle of the night. Likely this guy. Now it buzzes while it's taking pictures. The pictures are all pink now too like you've seen above.

That crease in his head is always a good sign of a big bear, along with the above mentioned list.

Like stated, he is a shooter. Large blocky head, ears appear small - meaning larger head, belly hangs low - not a young skinny bear. Bear hunting is awesome!!!
