Calling...what do i do now?

All winter long I have been calling good numbers of dogs pretty much everytime i went out. 10 a day wasn't unheard of some days. Lately it seems impossible to call even one.
I think it's 2 reasons, #1 the breeding season, seems they are paired up or have multiple males with one female and just are not interested in coming to a call. #2 the weather has warmed up and there is little to no snow on the ground and temps in the mid 40s.
My question is...what should i be doing now to draw them in to a call?
Is there a different call i should be using? I've been using an adult cottentail all winter, usually finishing up with a pup distress.

This time of year I really like to use the bawling calf on the fox pro. Around here its calving season and they will be around those cows looking for an easy meal.

Nvhunter,
Wish I was calling in 10 a day! We live in Lassen County, lots of dogs (lots of them educated!), lots of public land. This time of year gets tough for me too. Try challenge howling. I do not usually use this until I am certain the dogs are paired up and defending their territory. You might also try the hurt pup call. This has produced dogs for me in all seasons.
Good Hunting!
