Bookcliffs Roadless

I'm thinking of going down for the last weekend of my bear hunt. I went down about 2 weeks ago and only saw 4 bears and not a lot of sign, Do you think this weekend will be any better? I went into she canyon about 7 miles, Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like your not going to get your bear ths year. You should probably give up. Seems like a waist of 10 bonus points. Stick to duck hunting.

I spent 17 days hunting bear in the roadless this spring and only seen 5 bears total, a sow with two cubs and two big boars. What I seen was all the bear sign was up the side canyons that had water. didn't see any bear sign in the main canyons. This time of year the big boars like to feed on grass in the early to late afternoons. This hunt was the most difficult hunt I've ever been on. I walked tons of miles and just seemed to follow bear tracks around and hardly seen any bears.It was very hit and miss. I finally harvested a big boar on the 28th of may. this last week should be the best keep at it and good luck. Every bear I seen seemed to be when I least expected it.
