This was a neat looking blonde bear, what do you think it weighs?

Dream bear! it doesn't look like a gagger, but I'd put it at over 250 easy. whats the story?

Nice, nice bear, and a great picture! I hate to even guess size on bears, but it does look like a mature one. Blonde's always look bigger. If one has a tag, its best to shoot first and measure second on a beauty like that.

As has been said above it is a mature bear, but not super old. Doesn't look real big to me, but a beauty for sure. Might go 250 pounds.

would you guys refer to these little cubs as blonde? hear color phase names thrown around a bit, but i also hear diff people call the same bear diff names. the main one that confuses me is cinnamon and chocolate. people seem to use those interchangably. this is two little cubs wrestling, but the one is mostly off screen. am i right in calling them blonde? unfortunately their momma didnt show up on the cam.

No, those look cinnamon-blonde, but will probably turn chocolate as they mature. To me the order is Black, chocolate, cinnamon, blonde, with all manner of shades in between!

yeah im just bad at putting a name to colors. but to me looks like the little badass on the right is significantly darker than the one on the left, which is the one i want to call blonde. would have been nice if their momma showed. but on same cam i also got a mom and her two cubs who are all 3 a nice dark chocolate brown. cool to get 5 colored bears on one cam and not a single black one.

It is a New Mexico bear and still wandering the hills. I caught him napping and he walked through a grassy hillside. I got a few neat pictures.
