I will be in Hyder , Alaska in the middle of Aug to fish and was just wondering if there are any hunting seasons during that time for nonresident? Black bear would be what I would be most interested in with a bow! Any information would be great! Thanks for your time on this matter!

First of September is when the fall season usually opens on POW for bear. Some years the last week of August falls into the season. Google should help you find out if it is open.
Keep in mind though that special regs are in place on POW in the fall hunt. You can't drive a car to the hunting area, and you can't use a car to pick up,the trophy. So that will really limit you to beach walking or boat cruising. Also you cannot shoot from the boat in AK. So read up on the regs before you go.
