I drew a spot and stalk tag for this fall. It will be my first bear hunt. Just hoping for some tips from you guys that have some experience. What to look for, things to do that will help increase my chances for success. I've gone to check out the area once already and have plans for more scouting trips coming up before the hunt in Oct. Is there something I should be looking for now that will help when the hunt comes around. Thanks.

I drew that same tag. I haven't made it down there this summer, but I have spent a pretty good amount of time there. Never chased the bears down there though. Did you spot any good ones?

We saw 1 bear last time. Going again this weekend.

We saw one bear last time. Going again this weekend. I'm sure it is tough to see many this time of year, but I want to get to know the area.

It is tough going when it is hot down there. I have scouted it quite a bit in the summer months in years past. Never saw much after it started heating up in the morning. Not a bad plan to get to know the unit though. PM me if you want a few spots to look.
