Can they be patterned with any degree of predictability at night?
I have hunted them for years. Working on the farm/ranch as a kid it was open season all the time. I carried my .220 Swift for a long time during my summer job stuff.
Got a decent fox pro set up about two years ago and have had moderate success during the winter.
Then I got some game cameras for elk season...just to see what wanders in at night and started using them around our place in Nevada about two months ago, again just trying to see what/who comes around at night.
Coyotes, quail, a skunk and a bobcat...but, I noticed the coyotes seem to trip the cameras about the same time each night.
So, I figured if the pattern keeps up, one night I will get out and see if I can spot them.
