This is extremely interesting study done by Washington State.
This study proves that the State of Utah ( SFW ) method of managing lions does not work.

Currently Utah is managing lions at over 20 percent and even higher in areas like the Book Cliffs and all the sheep units. Maybe 14 percent or lower is the magic number, watch this and let me know what you think.

It does nothing of the sort. I am not taking up for Utah but watching a twenty minute youtube video about mountain lion studies in another region and ecosystem proves nothing for a different state or region altogether. Translating science in those ways is dangerous.

Although it is quite counter-intuitive, I found this data very interesting. It does make a sense once you see the data. They should give this a try in a few units. Hound hunters would like it too since there would be more mature toms.
