Heck yeah, every year. No dogs, we bait a little and spot and stalk.

Been trying to call in a lion for the past 3 weeks, no luck so far, sure would be nice to get a fresh snow to track one in. I've hunted basically non-stop since August 15 of last year, every saturday there's been something to chase. Bears are next on the list.

Central mnts South Manti/ San Rafael, North. For the spring hunt.

We're looking for someone with good hounds who wants to get their

dogs out this spring and chase bear.

As per usual, I'll carry a tag and get some nice hikes and glassing in. Not really dedicated to it like other game.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-23-15 AT 12:46PM (MST)[p]Oh yea, yearly trip. Always a great time in the wall tents for eleven days at the first of spring. First major outing of the year after the winter months. Great freinds and food in the awesome outdoors of wonderful Idaho. Spot and stalk.

This year may be tuff with the unseasonable weather all winter and now. The bears may be really tuff to locate with this weather.

We have all bagged numerous bears over the years, so it is not about the kill as much as just a great outing getting together with a tag in your pocket.

Bear hunting is one of the best hunts. I hunt all spring, summer and when I can in the fall. I don't care about killing a bear I just like my dogs treeing them. Great family fun. And its really good exercise.

Yes I finally drew out for Utah after 11 years of putting in. I'm not sure I'm excited to hunt Utah. Mostly because of the hoops you have to jump through to bait. I'm us to hunting Idaho the last 11 years. I love bear hunting Idaho, I'm going to miss it this year. I've thought about turning in my Utah tag so I can go to Idaho. One thing is for sure after this year I won't ever put back in for Utah bear again. Just sayin!

LAST EDITED ON Mar-29-15 AT 01:49AM (MST)[p]Yep, turned in my leave slip a couple of days ago for 11 days off in May! Spot and stalk in the Idaho panhandle with great friends! Tagging a bear is just a bonus!
