Two big spring bears

Had a great bear hunt a few weeks back and thought I'd post up some pics. My buddy's son Trevor ended up making a perfect 270 yard shot on an awesome 450 pound chocolate bear. His skull measured 19 5/8". An absolutely beautiful bear. Couldn't have been happier for Trevor on taking his awesome trophy!
Only a few minutes later I took my bear out of the same canyon. My bear weighed in over 500 pounds and had a skull measuring
21 3/8"...After 10 years, I finally got it done on a Boone and Crockett bear.
These two big boars had been fighting each other and had beat the crud out of one another. Both had bite marks, tears, rips and cuts all over their faces and hides. Trevor's bear had two fresh gashes on its face (see the picture) and its ear was almost ripped completely off. These two bears were taking a breather in between rounds and were laying down only 60 yards from each other when we came out above them on the canyon rim.
The haul out of the canyon with both animals was a back-breaker. Didn't get back to camp until 3:00 am, but obviously it was well worth it. What great memories for all involved!!
Hope you all enjoy

a few guys here on MM have sent me PMs asking about the chart we use to estimate a bears weight using tail-to-nose length measurements and girth measurements (girth under the armpits). I have attached it below. Hope this helps.
