Idaho Unit 1 Black Bear

Just wondering if anyone had any advice on this unit. I am looking at doing a spot and stalk bear hunt in this unit up around the priest lake area. Just looking for some general information on the quality and quantity of bears in this area. I am not looking for the biggest bears in the world or bears around every bush but if a guy was willing to work hard and spend 4 or 5 days laying down some boot leather and hours behind the glass would he have a decent chance at success?

Unit 1 is loaded with bears. You can't bait or use dogs so there are lots and lots of bears. I haven't spent much time by Priest, but bet if you put much time and boot leather in you'll do great.

Thanks lang. That is why I picked that unit due to the fact that there is no baiting or dogs.

Unit 1 is also pretty thick country in general. Not the easiest area to glass, but the bears are there. I hope you are planning on a spring hunt next year, rather than a fall hunt.
