Signs of Mountain Lion Habitat?

I am still new to hunting but enjoying it so far. One of my life goals is to be able to hunt a mountain lion and I am currently in Southern Nevada.

What are some of the signs of a potential mountain lion habitat that I should look out for?

I am spending a lot of time scouting different areas for rabbit and coyote hunting so I thought that I should also keep an eye out for potential mountain lion areas. Do they like rocky terrain? High/low elevations? Are lions likely to come down to desert water guzzlers or do they mostly stay away from those?

I appreciate any and all tips on scouting since I'm still new & learning.

In Idaho find the deer the lions will be close by. They do seem to like cliffy terrain also but they will be where the deer are especially winter range dec jan feb
