Lasalls bear hunt

I drew a spot and stalk tag in Oct. I'm looking forward to getting down there and scouting but I was wondering if anyone could point me in a good direction or had any HELPFUL INFORMATION. I've heard finding a good crop of scrub oak acorns is a must. Thanks for any help

South Mesa seem always have a bear or 2 on it BUT spotting them is the problem it thick, around the Farnsworth farm up there that has the apple trees seem the bears like to raid it. I would glass up high along all the tree lines when you spot one haul butt up toward it and have someone down below keep a eye on it. I have seen them as close as a 100 yds just feeding along if the wind is right.
