Idaho 32/32A Bear

My old man was conned into putting in for Bear with us (two of his sons)and he happened to be one of the 2 non residents to draw. We had him in a stand this spring for his first bear hunt and he had a blast although he did not harvest.

Looking for any info to give us a starting point. He has two artificial knees and is 68 years old and is starting to slow down, but we want to get him an opportunity at a good bear.

Are there certain areas to concentrate our efforts? Better earlier or later? Again, any info would be appreciated!!!
