Looking for any tips on units and houndsman... La Sal, San Juan, Book Cliffs, I have been putting in for Book Cliffs mostly because she drew a elk tag a few years back and we know the area. I had a friend move away that was going to help us run bears with hounds when we drew but that has fallen through. Are there any houndsman out there interested in helping run a bear? If so what unit would you prefer and what can we arrange? p.m. me if interested.

You're going to want to find a licensed outfitter for whichever unit you pick. You don't want your hunt to be ruined by cutting corners. If you decide to stick with the Book Cliffs, we are a licensed and permitted outfitter in the area and hunt it every spring. You can find info on our website at www.huntwithgtoutfitters.com We are also on social media at GT Outfitters. If you have questions about our hunts feel free to contact us any time.

Shay Mountain has some good bears on it, good place for the Bait and set in treestand season. The Blues seems to have plenty of bears on it.
