Daughter's first Black Bear

Just recently got back hunting the Crow Reservation of Montana where my daughter Morgan harvested her first black bear at 240 yards with my 6.5 GAP 4S. She put in a lot of hours getting ready for this hunt and it paid off for her.

LAST EDITED ON May-29-18 AT 06:51PM (MST)[p].....not having any experience with grizzly bears and damn little with any other bears......I would have been damn nervous shooting that bear in grizzly country......up close that head is black bear.......

We thought the same thing when we got up close to it...that it looked like a grizzly coloration. Luckily our area only had blacks because she only had about 15 seconds to make the shot before he was gone.
