I agree that the bull would be great in 2-3 years but a LE hunt in Utah is a once in 10 year proposition, and I’m being very generous. So if that was the first bull I saw right at first light I may pass but more than likely that bull would very likely be hitting the ground and going home with me

If you’re going to continue to hunt D8 why wouldn’t you consider accumulating points, as they don’t cost you anything but having to get your tag & license early? As for G6 it sound like point creep has flattened out at 12point because that’s how many it took me to draw 5yrs ago and my dad 4 yrs...

They’re out there... but you’re going to find it’s tough to find a lot of public land birds in the spring. I’ve found that most of the good habitat is in lower elevations in the foothills and most of that is private. There’s tracts of public that have birds and aren’t super crowded but it’s far...

Plenty of game has fallen to green box corelocks. Are there better bullets out there of course and if they are available I’d go with them. But corelock will get the the job done if you keep your distance reasonable and your shot placement in the boiler room you’re going to be fine

I have both a 40mm and 50mm on a few rifles and I like the 50mm one more. I’d suggest getting the windplex reticle, I don’t think it’s to cumbersome to look through

Thanks for the updates, it's disappointing to hear that there was such a small hunter turnout. It's more disappointing to hear the fish and game handles the process

California isn't necessarily known for producing big bucks, but the habitat is definitely capable of doing so. My guess would be the eastern sierras along the Nevada border
