Hey Tomichi, half our commercial herd are black-baldies. Great momma cows.

    Score???

I found him 2 days in a row within a mile. Fortunately I have a August 19 archery tag for the unit. If I can only keep the silver Jeep Liberty from following me and "scout poaching" the deer I find I might have a decent shot. I found other deer that I believe could go over 200", but they are...

200-210" straight typical is what I keep hearing. I don't really care what he scores, i just don't want to sound like the guy that always sees the 400" (really 350") bull.

    Score???

I'm not a numbers guy, but this one has me curious. Found this old man scouting, and yes he's big enough for me, but some people I've shown have thrown some pretty hefty numbers out there. Thought maybe some of you veterans could give a better idea. Sorry for my horrible pictures, I'm a...

11 points for Region H tag?

Dang. Utah was good to me with the Pauns archery tag this year. It'll be awesome no matter what, but a 200" brute is something I've yet to lay eyes on with a tag in my pocket.

11 points for Region H tag?

Curious Founder (off topic), but do you believe the Utah Paunsaugunt to be one of those magical areas where it is "very" possible to achieve 200"?

    Homework

Found these boys and more in a neighboring state on a weekend outing July 2015. Finally looked up their regs and it's over the counter archery for deer and elk, draw for rifle. Probably would have done better in school too if I would have just done my homework...

    OTC deer.

Sorry, you are correct. I received an email earlier stating there were something like 1,300 leftover "combo" licenses in MT on sale over the net. I assumed combo meant deer/elk as that's what my out of state relatives apply for (non-resident combo license) and they receive a deer and elk tag...

    Cattle industry

And yes, (farmers, ranchers, hunters of all weapon choice, fisherman, hikers, bikers, atv riders, dirt bikers, horse packers, outdoor enthusiasts, photographers, campers, natural resource developers, and anyone else that enjoys the great outdoors) all need to be on the same team and work...

    Cattle industry

Your data states 3% of livestock graze on public lands. Yes the grazing fees are heavily discounted over what private market forces dictate per AUM. With that said, 97% of livestock are grazed at market rates and therefore maybe it's not an accurate or intelligent statement to say "subsided...

    NM Unit 16b Elk Hunt

Klumker definitely first choice but sounds like they have a busy year. Try Joe Bice (575) 740-2955 If he's available, rent a sat phone, call as soon as you harvest and he'll be in next day with mules to pack it out. Make sure you haggle out the total price before hand no matter who you decide...
