I did the CHAMP hunt a few years back which was AFTER the cow hunts. Elk were well dispersed due to the number of tags and family scouters.

Check the youth / cow hunt dates for that unit 10 ML hunt. Make sure your hunt is BEORE it Don’t ask me how I know

Check the peaks and saddles around lone cone There’s elk all through the area. Hunt early, stay late. Sit water if warm. It’s all about finding them and elk move around. Stay mobile
