Jockey Mike Smith was from my hometown. Too old to know him, but I have met him. Jockey rode 3 perfect races. Horse was great. Never in trouble. Sisters went to school with the mom. She was and is a doll!

There is some validity to their assertion. Take out the best and the rest are left to spread their genes. But to be the best, the elite stud has lived a few years and has been passing his genes. Kind of a moot point.
