I love hunting my home state but when it's over, I sure do get withdrawals seeing everyone else?s pictures and stories from other states. Sure is nice to live through and dream/think about their hunts. Not sure what my hang up is going somewhere else, I have time and resources to do so...

I have a buddy scores animals from 1-10. It takes a lot to get a 10 but can be size of antlers of character, whatever makes him happy. 7 or above he shoots. I actually like this system....he is concerned on what makes him happy not how many inches of antler he is carrying!

This was not intended to be a personal question directed at me, nor at tactics. I get the idea that there are a lot more people that think it is possible to kill one more than I think thought there would be. All the factors must align, i understand that completely!

There are a lot of good thoughts on this, some I agree with some i don't...just like everyone else. I know 200" deer a few and far between compared to 160" deer. I know that time must be put in also or it's a shot in the dark! I was just curious as to what expectations were for killing one...

I guess I'm referring to the average guy that doesn't do guided hunts and either hunts mostly general seasons on normal public or private grounds. I understand anything can be purchased, even antlers, but I'm referring to the most common kind of hunters from my perspective. Seems like 160" is...

I switched from Mathews a couple years ago and now shoot xpedition. I have the xception and denali and really like both of them. I think they are definitely worth a look Deone

I appreciate the info, at least it's a starting point. I did not even know where to start. I'm not opposed to going into the high country, it's not about the physicalness of the hunt. I just don't have the gear to do it and not sure I can justify shelling out a ton to get it done. Thanks everyone
