Bought the same gun for my pahvant elk hunt. Had same problems you did. I tried everything, called cva, went back to sportsmans etc... what I did is took my breech plug to a machine shop and opened it up. 110 grains of blackhorn 209, thor 250 bullet, the thing shots lights out!! 4-5 inch groups...

I had a tag too and had an unbelievable hunt. Was not successful but had a time of my life. Missed a nice bull and ran out of vacation time to stay the whole hunt. Thanks to all that helped me. You know who you are! Utahelk1, sorry you got messed up by all the 4 wheelers hunting deer and cow...
