Since your not trying to save weight I suggest the MR. Just a tough simple pack that will carry as much weight as ya can handle. The Kuiu is a nice pack too, but I worry about long term durability. The MR will hold its resale value better than the Kuiu. With that said; I certainly wouldn't turn...

For the most part you can do most scouting or glassing from the roads. They aren't hard to find. A good one might be a bit of a challenge.

Pro?s: you don't need to carry a radio and a gps with Onyx capability, lots of mounting options, some cool measuring applications, and all the other gps advantages. Cons: price, weight, radio isn't better than a $75 Motorola talk-about, battery specific, battery drain even with power saving...

I have one of the smaller packs and it works. I wouldn't pay full MSRP for it. Find a used one on rokslide or archery talk. If looking to pay full retail might as well buy a mystery ranch or kifaru and get twice the pack.

Discrimination against the youth?? You gotta he high!! If anything hunters between 19-62 are discriminated against. It's a pretty easy fix; quit letting youth apply for LE permits until they are 16yo, extend the waiting period; if you draw a LE permit of any kind your on the bench for 3 years...
