Not sure about muleys, but after a tough archery season, all four rifle season elk hunters were EXTREMELY successful. This was certainly the most elk killed in the rifle seasons in the 20 years I've lived in the Gunny Basin. It will be interesting to see what is left for bulls for next year...

I had the good fortune of being able to get away from the grind yesterday and go fish my favorite river in Colorado...the Lake Fork of the Gunnison. It was running a bit higher than I like at 418 cfs but the color was Gunny Green, which is perfect. I threw a #10 brown/black Pat's Rubberlegs...
