Thanks guys. He is still pretty excited. He has a Bull Elk tag and a cow tag that he is excited to go out in the field for. We are getting it European mounted. My dad did the same with me and that is why I love it so much.

PM me..I can give you a little help. I have spent the last 3 seasons on the unit...basically guiding family and friends with tags. Know a few spots to get into some bulls. It isn't hard to find elk though on the unit....like others have mentioned they are everywhere. I will be up there...

I'm with ya on waiting.....I drew the tag as well this year....was extremely dissappointed to hear that 39 tags were given out. Going to be a nightmare up there.....hopefully it will calm down after the first week. I'm not after a record book Billy just want to have an enjoyable hunt and...

Rutnelk, I agree that I did make it sound as if the rifle hunt wasn't work. Unfair to generalize on my part. Although you can't deny the succes rates. That was where my comment originated from. When you have almost 100% success rate then that is a little unfair to the animal. Believe...
