Sheep and Goat 2024 draw statistics / recap are up on CPW website

Or states could pull something like Wyo for nooners sheep and moose! Most changes seem to make draw odds even worse than they already are….but you never know!

$150 NR tickets for violating Wyoming Wilderness rule (12 tickets in 10 years)

If Wyo res were outnumbered so much by nonres in wilderness areas, why not just limit nonres tags in units with wilderness areas rather than create a retarded nonres wilderness law? We all know why......outfitter welfare! My guess is that in recent years, outfitted nonres often shoot the cream...

Wyoming G and H non resident tags cut again

I heard that Wyo outfitters want set aside tags for deep pocketed Wyo res in a separate pool of tags for residents. They also were considering increasing the price of those set aside res outfitter tags so their res clients had a better opportunity to draw. This pool of tags would be taken...

Wyoming G and H non resident tags cut again

Nonres and Wyo res license sales contribution prior to the 2024 increase in special license tag fees. My guess is that nonres contribute over 85% with the dramatic increase in special priced tags in 2024.

Wyoming G and H non resident tags cut again

I have always been an advocate for "the proof is in the pudding!" Where is the funding coming from, where is it going, and is it making a difference! Go ahead and say it Grosventre, Buzz, and JM, "It's great to see so many incredible habitat improvement projects coming into Wyoming from out of...

Wyoming G and H non resident tags cut again

Here are just a couple examples of mule deer and other wildlife habitat improvement projects funded by the Mule Deer Foundation, BLM grants, US Dept of Transportation, and the National Wildlife Foundation in Wyoming. Wyoming wildlife crossing success nets millions for new project The $24.3...

Wyoming G and H non resident tags cut again

Nonres “donate” approximately 85%+ of the license and 100% of the pref pt revenue for d/e/a to the WG&F! Buzz, how many resident deer licenses does it take to compensate for 1 special nonres deer license? Wyo res deer tag = $42. Nonres special deer tag = $1,200. It takes 28 Wyo resident...

NR special draw license went WAY up...

There are so many factors involved with draw odds. Many of which haven't been discussed. Deer and antelope tags have been cut so severely across so many units (especially nonres tags) that it doesn't take many applicants to change odds. Another consideration is that a lot of guys with high...

Sheep and Goat 2024 draw statistics / recap are up on CPW website

I have drawn 3 sheep tags and 1 mtn goat tag. My son has also drawn 1 sheep tag and 2 mtn goat tags. The sheep and goat draw is ok for Colo res but like every other state insane odds for nonres since there are so few tags. I don't ever expect to draw a moose tag but have a good feeling I'll...

    Cheatgrass 101

Someone saw you coming if you were quota $1,700/gallon for Rejuvra! Without hardly looking I found Rejuvra on ebay for $960/gal. If you spray at 7 oz/A that equates to $52.00/acre. If you are serious about spraying your cheatgrass, my guess is you can find it cheaper than Ebay. There also...

    Resident helping NR hunt wilderness

It certainly is good that the WG&F doesn’t feel that way! Nonres contribute around 85% of the total license revenue and a support a large chunk of what it costs to manage Wyo wildlife!

    Resident helping NR hunt wilderness

What Buzz said in his above post pretty much seals the deal. The nonres wilderness law is a hoax! It was designed so nonres hunters would be safe hunting big game in wilderness. In reality it is a ploy for outfitters to secure exclusive hunting rights to guided big game hunters inside...

    Cheatgrass 101

With so many acres across the Western US it's going to be a battle but definitely worth plugging away at it. On the bright side, the longevity of cheatgrass seed in the soil is only 2 to 5 years. We are getting 7+ years control on multiple sites. Pretty much the only places we see it...
