    Utah Points Game

I’m 61 but still get around pretty good. But with 13 NR deer points, I’ve been applying for a late muzzyloader tag in a general unit the last 4 years, just trying to hunt. but that hasn’t happened yet.

    Mule Deer

Ryan, These guys gave you some great advice, Wyoming Antelope. My wife and step son's first hunts were antelope. See lots of game, mess up a stalk, a mile down the road, you're stalking another goat. OnX maps or a State GPS chip is huge to tell you what's private and what's public. Lower...

    Jumping Jack Trailers

Just for the record, Steve gave me a great deal and I couldn't be more pleased. Probably paid 40% of a new one. Like someone else said, the "extras" are pricy. Steve had numerous extras, probably $1,000 worth. It's 16' long with the 12' tent. I haven't used it. But I set it up and left it...

    Blackhorn 209 Powder question

Not to steal the thread but since you mentioned cleaning the breech plug, I've soaked mine overnight in solvent, then used a pipe cleaner. Is a proper sized drill bit, it welding tip cleaner better? I was so concerned about it I just bought a replacement breech plug, just in case.

    powerbelt elr

So....life got in the way and I haven’t shot the Thors yet. but I agree 100% with your powerbelt statement. I only tried the 338 grains titanium ones. And with this bullet, in my gun, 100 grains of BH 209 was the best accuracy. with Thor’s, I’m trying both the 250s and the 300s. This is an...

Whats your favorite way to do it ???

#1: Doggie style #2: In my face with a bow, arrow knocked and drawn. Let fly inside of 10 feet. That’s a rush. #3: 600 yards, get steady, tap the trigger. Gets the job done but not the same.

    Quail Babies

Today, June 22nd, I saw my first covey of younguns. Early for here. Maybe the earliest I've seen in 30 years by at least a week. Just hoping it translates to chukar. First year retired and plan on given them hell this year.

    powerbelt elr

I agree your advice was sound....after you started "you don't have to be part of the sheep herd." I guess that added significantly to your comments?? And why do I want to see if I can get accuracy with 100+ grains of BH 209? Because that's what we to. With the 338 gr Powerbelt, my best...

    Unit 40 Late Mule Deer

Never hunted it, but not because of a lack of trying, unsuccessful 12-15 times. Couldn't even draw the archery tag there this year. Rut hunt in a big buck unit. Cover ground, lots of ground, then some more ground. Congrats!

Out of box most accurate hunting rifle.

I can only comment on guns I own which include Browning A Bolts (no X Bolts) But all 3 of the Savage Weather Warriors we own are tackdrivers. Best triggers, outta the box of any guns I own. And I have 2 with the Accustock. I would pay the extra $100 and carry the extra 8 ounces. Looking...
