Ok, cool. Last year my Dad & I were out on the Book Cliffs. We had to take 70 gallons of water & 60 gallons of fuel for the 10 day hunt. It was 90 minutes to Vernal or Rangely from base camp.

Thank you all for this information, it is greatly appreciated. From the Red Creek Basin, where would be the best place to get camp water and fuel once I have set camp during the coarse of my hunt, if needed?

After a decade or so of applying, my Dad and I finally get to hunt Wyoming. I'm thinking of hunting in the south end of unit 102. I am thinking of setting up camp somewhere between Pine Mtn. and Little Mtn. Does any body have a recommendation of a good camping spot. I will be dragging a trailer...

All I drew was an A tag. Thank goodness I drew a NV late rifle deer tag.

The hope is that the snow level is down to 6000 feet before I leave from home. Then I don't have to drag the horses with me, but I usually don't have that kind of luck.

After drawing Elk & Antelope tags for Cali last year I figured that a big fat zero was in my forecast, but i was wrong. My dad and I get to hunt deer in Nevada for the first time. We drew area 10 late rifle tags. I'm still Waiting to here from Idaho, Cali, AZ.

Should we base camp near at the truck and do 3 to 5 mile hunts? Or pack in 3 to 10 miles and then hunt on foot?

My dad and I have never been to the Rubys. I figured horses would be better without snow, but possibly a handicap with alot of snow.

My Dad and I finally get to hunt Nevada. After burning 10 pts. We want to make it count. Maps of the area are on order. Should we use our horses or 4x4s? I know the weather and crouds are a big factor in the late hunt. We have never been in area 10. Scouting is not possible except for a few days...

After ten years of applying my Dad and I finally drew late Mule Deer tags in Nevada. I couldn't believe my eye's when the monitor showed 101L next to our names. Now the homework begins, trying to figure out where to go.
