    Help with setup for Nevada

My Nevada set up is with a rear peep and a Lyman globe front sight. In side the globe I use a pointed post. I use a peep I purchased from E. Arthur Brown Company. It is a Weaver style scope base with a peep sight attached. I use QD rings, and my scope holds point of aim, thus when I'm not in...

    Remington 700 ML Peepsight suggestions

RE: Remington 700 ML Peepsight suggestions You won't have to change your front sight no matter what you choose on the rear, but I believe there are better front sights than the factory Remington. I'm partial to a globe front with inserts. Probably from my position shooting days. On my TC I...

    Unit 444 scouting trip

I'm planning a trip to unit 444 just to look around and get a feel for the area, as I've never been there. Should I bring an ATV, or will I be OK in just my pickup?

    Muzzleloading bullet/sabot options

I use the Remington 9 1/2M, but a federal 215 is hotter. I have a VariFlame adapter system. It works well.

Best bullet for deer in NM

I would think the Barnes 250 would be enough to give adequate penetration on a deer. They shoot accurately in my rifle, but I've never punched a deer with one. If you need more penetration on elk, go to .458 bullets. You can purchase sabots from MMP.
