Any tips on Texas Exotics and bass fishing?

There are literally hundreds of exotic ranches here anything from high fence tell them what you want and they will get it for you to low fence spot and stalk. You can get anything you want, but a $3000 budget won't get you much. The Guest-Ranch has doe hunts for $150 to $400 per animal depending...

Unit 61 / How has the hunting been for deer?

I just returned from there deer hunting, and it was tough. The weather was hot and dry, and the deer were up high and way back in the canyons. We seen plenty of around town but never seen a deer until we got up to the northern part of the unit.I only saw 1 deer killed while we were there and it...

    Unit 61 cell coverage

I will be heading to 61 next week and I am wondering about cell phone coverage. I need to be able to get in touch with my guys at work some during the day. I have a Verizon phone and AT&T air card, which would work the best or where will I have some coverage at?

    Unit 61 expectations

Thanks for the reply, our intentions aren't necessarily to kill a trophy buck. The main reason we are going is because dad will never draw this unit again and he wanted to hunt the plateau one last time. I just don't want to pass a good buck thinking a 180 is just around the corner.killing a deer...

    Unit 61 expectations

Dad and I have a unit 61 2nd season tag,we have not had much time on the plateau this year. Is a 180" deer reasonable if we get off the road a couple of miles. Or is 160 a good deer to kill, just trying to see what we should expect.

    unit 61 help

Dad and I will be up there also, we haven't had near enough time up there scouting this year, last time he was up there it was a hot and dry and found some deer near the water. I hope the weather cools off by then.

    200" realistically??

You can probably kill one every year depending on how deep your pockets are.

    New Moon and hunting

I am not familiar with the patterns of mule deer but I definitely see whitetails move at different time because of the moon especially during the rut. But if you are out there from daylight to dark it should not matter.

    Would you take the shot?

Wait for him to stand. His shoulder blade is turned out at a bit of a angle and the chances are good of sliding the arrow down the outside of the bone.
