Yeah, it's a bummer about there being no hogs. Just bear and deer (and varmits) from what I've seen. I'd like to do some day hunts on public lands in Sonoma or Monterey. Any suggestions on a decent area? My brother has lots of property in Humbolt Co., so I'm heading that way in October.

Thanks, will do! From what I can tell, there's not many deer or hogs in these mountains. Bears are on tap though. Anywhere around Lake Tahoe gives you action. Wherever I go, I'm gonna want that campfire, so they might affect my choice a tiny bit. Cheers!
