We had an ideal winter and early spring. good snow up high and very little below 4000 feet. got another 9" on top just in the last few days.
That's good for the game, which would be great for hunting except for one problem, the deer are nearly extinct.
It's clear full, so is Ochoco. last year not much before this date it was empty, the lowest since it was completed in 1958.
Good fishing I guess, I don't fish. but I have irrigation rights out of it so that's why I'm liking it being full.
One of our FFA fund raisers in the late 70's was a slave sale. you'd get auctioned off and do whatever work you were told to do for a Saturday.
A couple of the kids went up on the block in shorts and full black out face and all. everyone thought it was funny and they got bid up extra...
I was in high school at that time as well. most of us had a rifle , shotgun and a lariat in our pickup gun rack because you might need any one at any time . and we were parked in the school parking lot on school grounds.
I wonder if you can even buy a pickup rifle rack anymore? I remember...
Saw an idiot doing it get truck pressed just south of Spokane a few years back. the only thing about it that bothered me was I was stuck there for over an hour while I gave a statement and they scraped him off the freeway.
I didn't know it was legal anywhere. I looked and OR just passed a law...
The price people will pay for high end deer is off the chart, but in WY right now the realistic top end isn't that impressive. and this being the first year of these prices I think many guys will say screw that, then in the next year or two they get used to it and return. there's only one deer...
Anyway, back to the original subject.
With the elk draw results coming up it will be interesting to see what changes to the draw odds there will be. I really think the odds on elk are easier to predict that deer and pronghorn will be.
I expect odds for high demand elk tags may even drop on...
I pulled my original post until i see what comes of it. I don't want someone later on reading it and not reading the follow up posts.
I checked my PayPal and I haven't been charged. which makes me think this is where they try to get you to pay another way. it'll be interesting to see...
And that could be, had he not bought from them I would think the same thing. but it has been a while.
I'll see what happens and report back. my little bird tells me something is off, but since they can't get past PayPal I don't see how it would be a scam that pays the bills.
Correct. my wife and I have 27 moose ppoints and there's only 2 or 3 NR points tags issued. I better take a lot of Geritol if I'm going to last the 30 years it's going to take.
And the new elk plan is a total hose job for the NR unless you're at the very top of the point pool. no point...
