    Leupold scope cover or ?

I have a 3x9x40 VXII and am thinking about what happens when I'm hunting in the rain. looks like my options are the butler creek flip-ups, the leupold flip ups or the leupold rain-cote screw-on lenses. Has anyone tried these and what do you think of them ?

    Tripod Fire - Washington

Sounds like this year is lost. How about next year ? In your experience, how long after a fire is an area considered "recovered". Will grass and some brush be growing by next fall ?

    Redfield Widefield 2x7

I have this scope that I've used for the past 30 years. It works great so I'm really not looking to replace it. But, looking for opinions about how much better the newer scopes might be. Also, if anyone has an idea about scope covers for this I'd be interested....Lost the original rubber...

    Rivers West Raingear

pick up a couple set at sportco in WA a couple years ago. Really like them ! They're pretty warm too. Seems to take away the need for a layer of clothes. Cuts the wind pretty good too. I've worn them in a couple of pouring down storms and didn't get a drop thru them. I'd recommend them.

    WA GMU 556 Toutle

It would be nice to be able to hunt with all methods. by having to choose, it limits the number of hunters at any one time. those that hunt bow and rifle and muzzleloader only get to hunt once a year and have to decide early which one. Anyway, I'm hoping this works out for us. The wife is...

    WA GMU 556 Toutle

Just found out we drew for the toutle this Nov. So far I know it's part of the St Helens Tree Farm. Took a quick drive along 504 this weekend. Looks kind of dense in there. I'm doing my scouting from now until Nov. Any thoughts that might improve our chances? This will be our first time in...
