What to put in for?

Vernon!

You're Close To A PAUNS Rifle Tag!

Right At / Maybe On SJ!

I'm Sure There Are Others!

Whatever You Do!

If You Draw!

I'd Be Living There Until Season Opens If You Don't Know Any Of The Units!

Good Luck On The Tag!

I'm actually what you would call a novice hunter that has just been building points, obviously for years hoping for a one time great hunt. I don't have time or resources to "get to Know" all of the units. Thanks to everyone that took the time to post a sincere reply. I put in for another bonus point.

If you are who you say, and want to hunt, you should have put in for a very hard to draw unit. Cause ya never know….

But the evening of the last day of apps is not the time to ask questions. No real useful info is obtained that way.

Old, if you wait til this time next year I can assure you that you won’t get any better answers. Planning a once or twice in a Lifetime hunt doesn’t happen that way.

He says he is a novice hunter, how someone could be a novice after 21 years is beyond my grasp. Therein lies the problem with point systems, people fall in love with the points and think that by spending 21 or more points they will have a great hunt, when what they should be doing is just going hunting and not building points waiting for that magic hunt

Or you should be out on a unit during the season to see if it is what you want.

This also puzzles me. They build up a romantic vision from watching too many hunting shows of a dream hunt that will ultimately end with a 200"+ buck mounted in their den. Hunting is better than not hunting. It's pretty simple. I can guarantee that his 21 point hunt will not be as rewarding as one of the four 5 point or three of the 7 point hunts he could have experienced.

I will occasionally give people a fish, esp those that have fished but were unsuccessful, but I love to teach people to fish. So when someone who has been considering fiahing for 21 years, but hasn’t tried, wants me to give him a fish….

To someone who waits till the evening of the last day of apps, and the only posts he has made before or since are on this thread? You’re a good man Charlie Brown

Different attitude if he came back on here soon and asked for advice for next year. I would be happy to teach him info that would help in his quest.

Show me any LE Units in Utah that can be drawn at 5-7 points? Except a random..... Add in waiting periods?
Simple math is 1000% against your post.
