    NR Sheep Possibilities

Roll a random number between 1-100,000,000 low enough and you can win any tag in NV. I love our point system. I stopped putting in for Rocky Mountain Sheep this year as a resident due to odds being astronomical and I'd rather use that $14 for a chance at a PIW mule deer tag which is much easier...

    What to put in for?

This also puzzles me. They build up a romantic vision from watching too many hunting shows of a dream hunt that will ultimately end with a 200"+ buck mounted in their den. Hunting is better than not hunting. It's pretty simple. I can guarantee that his 21 point hunt will not be as rewarding as...

Same. I'd rather fail than pay a guide even if it's a hard to get tag. Of course, I can't afford a guide either. Congrats on the bull!

Proposed Quotas for 2024 Big Game

Basically they walked back a lot of the deer tag increases back to last year's numbers and decreased 6.7, and 10. They should have this done and posted at least a week before tag deadlines. Doing these quota amendments 3 days before the deadline is retarded...but it is government.

Elko CAB meeting NR shed season

I 100% agree. I actually think this is the biggest crime committed. Maybe they can start ticketing and prosecuting off video evidence. This pisses me off to no end. And I do think this is where all the regulations came in. Unfortunately, respectable shed hunters are caught in the middle. At...

Elko CAB meeting NR shed season

You lose money hunting for big game. You actually make money hunting sheds. Makes total sense to have a license since you're profiting off another state's natural resources.

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

Yeah, I missed that. At least you have the self awareness to admit your motivation. Shooting canines for pleasure and sociopathy make good bedfellows.

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

The funny part is if you actually think this is true. You're shooting coyotes because you like killing animals. I'd respect coyote hunters if they were just honest why they do it. Just tell me "I like to watch animals die." and I'd tip my hat to ya and tell you to go have fun.

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

Instances like this are so rare it's not really an issue. Just search "shed hunting" in the youtoob search bar. You'll see why we need regulation. And if they just made the regulations for elk that would work too. No one is out looking for deer sheds to make money. The greed is all centered...

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

I propose if you're caught with sheds on your person or stashing you lose hunting privileges for 2 years for residents and life for non residents with hefty fines. That's enough to strike fear into the poachers and thus making it enforceable. Obviously a game warden can discern if it's a poacher...

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

Bingo. Everyone will claim it's just "for enjoyment", but no one is busting their ass for elk sheds that don't plan on making a profit. All the YouToobers are monetizing it with merch, view revenue, sponsors, AND selling bone (some are even making dog chews which no veterinarian would support. A...

    Utah NR shed hunting ban

How is this that hard to grasp? Hunting is hunting whether it's for an animal or antler. The state has control and there's zero chance the feds would care. No one is trying to keep you off public land. You just better have a good reason to be wandering around elk shedding grounds in full camo...

Call a game warden and give them a license plate? Didn't realize the concept was that hard to grasp. About as minimal effort and non confrontational as there is. If some dudes from Utah are camped out in a random spot where elk frequent there's a 99% probability we know what they're doing. And I...

It's possible to be concerned with sheds and horses at the same time. And horses are out of NDOW's jurisdiction. We're doing all we can with state congress for horses. Maybe we'll round them up and let them out on the border of Utah. You guys could use some wild mustangs. And Utah shed hunters...

Than poaching other state's sheds? For sure. Have fun paying for and picking up our scraps in May next year. Your state had the audacity to suggest non residents should have a season for your state so we got the jump on you and gave you a dose of your own medicine.

U just mad cuz it's harder to poach our sheds. It's funny out of staters think they're entitled to a natural resource in another state that is sold for profit. With that logic, I should just be able to come into your state and cut down your trees for lumber, mine your gold, or shoot your deer...

"You" referred to Utahns in general. Lighten up Francis. And doesn't UT have enough sheds that you don't need Nevada? Every state's sheds should be for residents only the entire spring. It's win win for everybody. Residents actually get MORE rights while protecting themselves from "professional"...

Of course they do. But Utah doesn't have a season so it's legal. Utards are coming over here and poaching every year. Every state has A-holes that take their quads off trails. That'll never change. Anyway, Utah is the sole cause of all and any shed regulations in the west. We're protecting...

Well, according to people who attended the Elko CAB meeting recently, there's a rumor that NR shed hunting regulations are coming down the pipe (obviously a reaction solely to Utah pressure). Elk antler poacher fined, loses hunting privileges for 3 years

Off topic, but who the hell started the marketing campaign that made antlers out to be good chew toys? I have a garage full but I'd never let my dog chew on one. Might as well let your dog chew on a rock. Probably a vet trying to drum up business to fix broken teeth.

Ummm, your own state is the one proposing a ban on NR shed hunters there guy. Why they are angry.

Well, shooting coyotes for sport leads to torturing wolves. That's the real slippery slope. People embrace their "redneckedness" as if it has some inherent morality. Redneckery and libtardedness both are evil once you cross a certain line to the left or right.
