I've been trying to decide between that and the dead air nomad Ti. I've spent a bit of time on pew science as well. I think I've all but decided to go with the Hyperion K.
Well, went out on the general muzzy elk last week and it was a bit of an adventure. Opening morning I shot a beautiful 6 point, I thought I hit him good. My cousin kept saying good shot he's going to lay down, you got him. Then he never laid down and just jogged off as if nothing bothered him...
I don't post much myself, but I have to say this thread has been super interesting and successful at distracting me while at work.
I did go out on a general deer muzzleloader tag this last week. Saw lots of deer, could have shot lots of smaller bucks. Found one buck that was worth pursuing...
I have used them as well. Seen several big bulls go down with them. I think at shorter ranges they blow through animals and leave a big exit wound. At longer ranges I also have had them not penetrate through. My sample size is low though so I am very interested to see what others say.
Thanks all, she is super excited about it. We got a euro mount done and after years of me trying to convince her to put mounts in the house, she finally agreed that it should go in the main entryway to our house. Not sure why she finally caved on that topic......
I'm sure she'll be at it again. I personally got a lot more satisfaction out of her getting it than I have on any of my own hunts so I hope to be able to go on many more hunts with her.
For years I have been trying to convince my wife to pick up hunting. At the very least I would tell her to start building points so that when the time came where she was ready to hunt, she could do some cool hunts. After 10 years of trying to get her to do it, she finally decided to do it this...
I've hunted this area a number of times. On the parcel I have access to I haven't seen a buck there in three years. I finally gave up on this area and started putting in for a different area, drew Wasatch East muzzleloader this year. I'm hoping I at least see a buck there.
I got mine online this morning. Curious, about going to a vendor. Do all parties need to be present to buy them at a vendor? I asked the lady at Walmart yesterday if I could come buy them there, she was not sure about much of anything but said each person would need to be there to buy a tag.
Bear is on my list of hunts I want to try. I think Idaho is where I would most likely start. Having never done it though, I just don't know how to start. Would love to spend time with someone that could show me things like what to look for, and how to know you're in the right area. Every time I...
