I heard two of the Governors Tag mule deer hunters already filled there tags. Has anyone seen pics? I heard they were right around 200 inches.

Last year there were 2 whitetail bucks about 3 miles away from The Taos Plaza in one of my buddies fields eating with his cattle. They are moving in.

You can pay to stay in the Rio Costilla camp grounds which borders the Valle Vidal! I am not sure if you can camp on the side of the road. Call the Department Of Game&Fish.

Nice bucks! About 220 class bucks? Congrats to you guys...

Just wondering how this year was going. Talked to a few people and was told that this years hunt in those units were very hard because of the weather and muddy roads.

Hello people I am looking for someone that does pack in trips in Unit 16C in the Gila. The DIY elk hunt is October 22nd to 26th.

16B 16C or 16D would be a better drop camp hunt. You can really get back in the wilderness or remotes places in those units. Good luck.

Awesome buck! Was he still with does and rutting? I would say in the high 180's-187.A dream archery buck in anyone's book for sure. CONGRATULATIONS.....

Any big bucks killed in any of those units for the January archery hunt. I have not heard of any big bucks killed.
