That still doesn’t help if I pull a number with 3+1 that ends in two zeros and you draw a number ending in any whole number other then zero. You can cut it in pieces all you want and that doesn’t get a tag. The fact that the entire process involves one number for each hunter is the problem...

If I were you guys; I’d stop applying for deer, elk and moose tags nationwide. This is scary. Just stop applying, especially for LE tags. Those older bucks are the ones that will get ya. Keep hunting general and OTC units, just stay out of the hard to draw ones.

Anymore “absolute rock bottom” in NM is still a once or twice in a lifetime tag unfortunately. Not too many tags out there above 10% draw odds so to realistically expect more then 1 or 2 in a lifetime when those same tags will be 1:50 odds in 10 years isn’t realistic.
