I know that Wyoming does one thing better than Utah and that is in the application process. At the end they offer you several ways to donate to wildlife. One being wildlife crossings which I donated to as it is one of best ways I believe to help out wildlife. Makes me sick when I see all those...
I was just looking for 24 and they have increased the bull tags a lot 11 tags for bulls and an new #13 hunt period adding additional 3 bull tags all at Grizzly Island
Herd must be increasing
Going for Tule this year with max points here in California. Drawing Grizzly is a random at best when there is only one tag for each hunt period.
There are other Tule zones with better odds
I had the X9-a tag a few years ago the fishing is off the hook there so if you draw bring a pole for afternoon fishing.
Saw a lot of small bucks only one good forked buck in three weeks. Fun hunt beautiful area be ready altitude took me about three days to get adjusted to it.
Yes this goes along with guns in your back window. bring them to work so you could hunt after work,
When I was ten my Dad said if you finish your chores and homework you can go hunt down at the Jordan River for Pheasants and ducks. So off I go with my shotgun on my handlebars riding down 59th...
Good on the math you forgot the moose and sheep points I put in for years before realizing that I would never draw in my lifetime.
Also you assume a lot, you know nothing about me, or what I do. You know what they say about assuming
Yes at $7 a point so you have put in a whopping $364 for both sheep and moose while I have put in $2800 in half that time. Quite the difference.
I don't want to move to Wyoming I just want to hunt it a couple of times before I die.
So who is entitled here the resident who doesn't give two...
And I will howl like a mashed cat if this happens. WTF did I buy points for a dream hunt for years to only have it taken away from me now that I am retired.
I am not one of those hunters who assume that they are owed anything but if you paid for it you should receive what you paid for.. Period...
Did anyone else receive an invitation to attend the meeting in Dubois Wyoming discussing wildlife crossings, mule deer, habitat, hunting heritage. I would go in a minute if it wasn't 850 miles away.
Especially the wildlife crossings
Another argument for the installation of the wildlife crossings just think how many more tags would be available if we could stop or even slow the slaughter on our highways and rural roads
This is exactly what I am talking about there are areas that have more road kill than others and can benefit from our help. I'll bet that the road kill it way bigger than everyone thinks/
We can argue over how many deer there are in certain units for sure, but there are units that could use some help to get back to carrying capacity.
We all know the areas in the State where it seems you see more road kills than other areas. Those areas could and should benefit from Wildlife...
It is just hard to believe the hunting that used to happen on that mountain in the Scofield area and what is there now. In the 60's that area seemed like it supported a good portion of the hunting pressure.
I know those wildlife crossings work Nevada is proof, how long can we just accept the...
Recently I was on a trip from Salt lake City to Grand Junction Colorado and hadn't traveled that road in years. What caught my attention was how many dead deer were on the highway from Springerville to Price. I saw 7 on the way over and 6 on the way back four of those deer were heavy with a...
I was fishing on the Weber river years ago and had caught a nice two pound trout and put it on a stringer tied to my belt. While I was fishing I felt a tug on my stringer line and pulled it out of the water to see a mink hanging on to it growling. I shook him off and went on fishing a little...
This is Newsom's F&G he has appointed someone in charge of the F&G that will do what he and his Dad both want. No Hunting
Hell we have had two Mountain Lion sightings in the last week in Lafayette alone they are all over the place.
It was a few years ago that a Mountain Lion killed a women...
